Its close to the railway station and the city center. They have free wifi and the rooms are good for the price. I booked a single room but when I arrived I was put into a much bigger room with a living room so I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is an old soviet hotel.
The wifi stopped working for a while.
One of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed in, something you don't expect from a 20-storey ex-InTuirst tower block, but you honestly felt like you left as a friend. Also, loved the decor, retro 60s chic, palatial in its time, faded a bit now but all the services were still there and everything worked - no small achievement in Moldova.
Staff took great care of me and was very nice. Tried their best to provide for an enjoyable stay.
Nice value for money. Excelent location. Good Wi-fi internet access.
Little bit pour breakfast.
The hotel needs a complete face lift. The carpets need replacing, the elevators need updating. They are in a very good location but the inside leaves a lot to be desired.
Thank you for the wonderful stay! It was a great pleasure! Nice room, great breakfast and amazing staff!! :) Thank you ! I recommend this hotel to all !
The staff were always helpful and when my wife lost her phone they let us use the hotel's office and internet and make calls to the uk, nothing was too much trouble and they would take no money for this. They reflected what we found with all moldovan people we came into contact with-- honest, proud decent with no cynism--- the poorest country in europe in monetry terms but one of the richest in spirit--- I think places like this are few and far between, I hope they do not become corrupted by 'western consumerism' and its attendant side effects!
Nothing to dislike about honest places like this !
Perfect location and the Micro bus from the Airport (us 0,50) just drop you off outside. The rooms are big and I had a nice veranda. I actually got a suite. The furniture is a bit like eastern Europe ano 1980, but I found it charming.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and all spoke very good English. They went out of their way to provide information and organise sight seeing and transportation. A problem with wi-fi was quickly addressed and fixed. Moldova is famous for its quality wines and Cosmos have a comprehensive list of wine tours. We stayed in a very comfortable room on the 10th floor. Cosmos allowed us to stay on in our room, at no additional cost, until it was time to catch an overnight bus. This sort of jesture is always appreciated. Buffet breakfast was good. The hotel lobby area is a pleasant area to spend time relaxing over a beer or coffee. A modern shopping centre is next door. Train station is a 10 minute walk. Central bus station also walkable. Try the Beer House a few minutes walk away. Ask for the alcoholic strength of their delicious premise-brewed beers before having another too many! Staying at the Cosmos certainly helped us to enjoy our stay in Moldova.
Free parking. Free wifi. Very big old hotel but well maintained. Next to the shopping center with supermarket and restaurant.
Breakfast can be better. A bit overpriced compared with facilities they offer.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Late check-out (14.00h) was possible without any extra-payment. Good breakfast-buffet. Walking distance from the railway station and city-centre. Ask for the roonms in the 10th. Floor, they are renovated.
Simple room and simple breakfast but good value for money. Free internet connection and very friendly personnel. We did late check out without extra cost. Laundry service efficient.
Sun light comes in the room early in the morning and the curtains do not help. In the morning it is also a bit noisy outside. No shower curtain. They wanted to clean our room at 10am but we were sleeping. We left the room at 1pm but after that they didnt clean up our room anymore.
Room was clean with a large refrigerator and cable TV.
The elevators were very very slow going up to the the floor my room was on!!!!
As swiss tourists, we really enjoyed our stay in Chisinau. The staff of Cosmos Hotel was really nice and helpful! They help us to find the way to the Bazar, they give us good advices. In this hotel, you can find everything, such as souvenirs, bar, change desk. The breakfast is tasty and rich. The hotel is extremely well located (near to the train station and the main street - Stefan cel Mare).
Very welcoming reception staff! The hotel is a perfect example of Soviet architecture! Great!
